Blog: In your market/designer/fashion

Last weekend, our family of four held an annual holiday photo session. Our state is still very new-the fourth member is only about 3 months old now-and, as many parents of young children may know, when I left home on time, I was left behind.

Needless to say, if I have been looking forward to having time to look and feel perfect in these photos, then I will be very disappointed.

A little cosmetics can cover dark circles caused by lack of sleep, and a strong hair band can prevent hair from thinning quickly due to postpartum outflow. I am as ready as ever. I was not scared by the reflection in the mirror, but I told myself that in any case, everyone only cares about the pictures of the children.

On the way out, I decided to wear a pair of hoop earrings at the last minute. I haven't changed earrings for at least a year, so it feels bold to make this decision.

The power of jewelry. The power of a good pair of basketball. I feel promoted, I dare say, beautiful.

Until, of course, my toddler pulled one out while taking pictures.

But all in all, I have never been more confident in the statement that a good pair of hoop earrings-even many pairs, are a necessity for anyone wearing jewelry. This is definitely a necessity for retailers.

Gina Love, the founder and designer of New York-based Auvere, knows this is true.

"Hoop earrings are one of the oldest and most popular jewelry trends ever," Love said. "In the 2020s, hoop earrings are still classics, and they will maintain this status indefinitely. Why? The power of a simple circle. A circle that represents power, connection, and infinity. The eternity of hoop earrings is so Powerful. They exude an atmosphere that will last forever."

There are so many jewels on the market that can make your heart beat-I have seen and written about some absolutely exciting jewels. However, in its many iterations, the humble basketball hoop has linked decades, generations and cultures together, which is unique. From the thick vermilion double that I slipped the other day to the tiny golden hug that I tend to keep for months, their existence is irreplaceable.

"When I was a baby, my ears were pierced. My mother kept wearing small earrings, including a pair of small gold hoop earrings," said Love, who was born and raised in Jamaica. "All the women in my family have worn hoop earrings at some point. I still have a pair of 14-carat gold hoops that my mother gave me when I was a teenager. They belonged to her, and she passed them on to me. Now, many years later, I want to make my own classic hoop earrings that can be passed on from generation to generation but made of 22 carat gold."

With this basketball series from Auvere, Love makes it easy. The new version includes seven different sizes of hoops-all made of solid 22k gold, luxurious! ——So customers can choose the size that suits them, or choose multiple sizes and wear them at the same time (remember this look was in the 90s?).

A single miniature hoop starts at $325, and a pair of XL hoop starts at $2,800, which is a reasonable price for a single product that can be worn forever. Modern consumers will appreciate Auvere's commitment to ethical sourcing, using a mixture of recycled and virgin gold, and obtaining fair mining and fair trade certification.

"What makes Auvere's simple, minimal hoops so special is that they are made of shiny 22k gold," Love said. "This means that the actual gold content of our hoop earrings (91.67%) is significantly higher than similar earrings made of 14k gold (58.3%) and 18k gold (75%). Due to the high gold content and our use of nickel-free silver alloys, Our hoop earrings are hypoallergenic and will not change color. [Seven available] Each size appeals to different people and people looking for different hoop options. We are happy that the hoop is no longer only worn by women, It’s worn by everyone, regardless of gender."
