Fans have many costume options to choose from in the Demon Slayer universe.

Demon Slayer is a popular shonen anime that follows Tanjiro on his journey to save his younger sister, who was turned into a demon. On the way, he meets various people, from friendly traveling companions to the almighty Hashira to villainous demons. Of course, this means that when it comes to Halloween costumes, fans have many to choose from.

One of the easy things about the Demon Slayer universe is that almost every character in the corps wears the same traditional uniform — though they each customize the look in their own way. Some of them are much easier than others to recreate for Halloween this year.

Tanjiro, one of the most wholesome characters in Demon Slayer, makes a great Halloween costume. The most recognizable piece of clothing he wears is his green and black checkered haori. In addition, he wears the standard black Demon Slayer Corps outfit underneath. Fans can either purchase both from sites like miccostumes.com or purchase the haori separately and wear a black shirt and pants underneath.

Fans will also want to recreate the scar on Tanjiro's forehead and wear his hanafuda earrings if possible. Plus, Tanjiro has several accessories that aren't required for a recognizable look, but are certainly fun to add: a white belt, tabi socks, a pair of zori, white fabric strips wrapped around his calves, and, of course, his large wooden box.

Tengen, the Sound Hashira, is the character that everyone wants to be. He wears a sleeveless version of the Demon Slayer Corps uniform, and burgundy wraps around his calves. Fans will want to recreate his gem-studded headband and acquire an appropriate white wig.

If fans are able, it will make a great addition to include Tengen's blue and gold wrist wraps and large gold bands around his biceps. Plus, those willing to put in a bit more effort should create or purchase his Nichirin blades.

Shinobu, the Butterfly Hashira, needs at least one article of clothing to be instantly recognizable: her beautiful butterfly patterned haori that gradates from white to green to pink. In addition, she wears the standard Demon Slayer Corps uniform, but with gold buttons, and Kyahan in the same butterfly pattern as her haori.

Shinobu also has black hair that fades into purple and a butterfly ornament on her bun. In addition, Shinobu wears white zori with purple straps. Plus, don't forget her Nichirin Katana, with an orange and blue butterfly-esque hilt.

Fans who love playing the villain will want to make this easy Muzan costume. In his first appearance, Muzan wore a fairly simple but elegant outfit. This costume consists of an embroidered black tuxedo over a black button-up shirt, white pants, and black shoes. His black hairstyle is pretty unique, paired with a white fedora.

If fans are looking for more ways to improve the outfit, two simple additions make the costume go even further. Red contacts to change the eye color and fangs will only complete Muzan's villainous look.

Nezuko, Tanjiro's beloved younger sister, makes a fun Halloween costume for any age. Her most recognizable piece is her light pink kimono with a hemp leaf pattern, finished with a red and white-checkered hanhaba obi. She also wears a dark haori and dark material wrapped around her legs, resembling kyahan.

Plus, don't forget Nezuko's pink ribbon and the bamboo muzzle. Fans who want to make an easy costume more complex could even try creating Nezuko's awakened form — complete with the horn on her head and the red and green vine-like pattern that covers her skin.

Zenitsu, Tanjiro's loud, eccentric friend, has an easy outfit to put together. His most distinguishable feature is his yellow and orange haori with white triangles, which fans can easily purchase online. In addition, he wears a slightly lighter Demon Slayer Corps uniform, though black will also pull off a recognizable look.

Zenitsu also wears Kyahan, or cloth leggings, in the same pattern as his haori and zori. Plus, don't forget to wear his easily identifiable wig — or fans can even try to make it themselves.

While anime fans don't know much about Obanai, the Serpent Hashira, he still has a reasonably simple Halloween costume to put together. He wears a distinguishable black and white vertical pinstriped haori that makes him stand out immediately.

Obanai wears the standard Demon Slayer Corps uniform under that and bandages wrapped around his legs. He also has more bandages wrapped around his face, covering his mouth, and uneven black hair. Plus, don't forget his white snake, Kaburamaru, which fans can easily add using a stuffed animal.

Giyu was the first Hashira who Tanjiro met in Demon Slayer. He remains a fan favorite for many due to his closeness with Tanjiro and faith in Nezuko. His most recognizable feature is his two-patterned haori — one side is a geometric pattern of green, orange, and yellow squares, while the other is simply a solid red.

Under the haori, Giyu wears the traditional Demon Slayer uniform and white leg-wrapped kyahan and white zori. Plus, fans can wield the Water Hashira's Nichirin Katana if they want something extra to add.

Unlike most of the other characters, Inosuke does not wear the full traditional Demon Slayer Corps uniform. He does wear pants, finished with an animal fur belt, but he chooses not to wear any shirt. Fans that aren't willing to go shirtless can easily replicate this look with a nude-colored shirt or create a shirt out of animal fur to keep with his aesthetic.

Inosuke also wears animal fur socks or leg wraps attached to a sandal base. Of course, Inosuke's most recognizable piece is his boar head, which fans can easily buy from many online retailers.

Rengoku, the beloved Flame Hashira, has bright yellow hair with red streaks that is easily recognizable to any Demon Slayer fan. He also wears a haori with a white and yellow gradient pattern and red flame-like edges. Under it, he wears the standard Demon Slayer Corps uniform and red kyahan with yellow flames.

Fans can even wield Rengoku's Nichirin Katana. Those who want to go even further can add special flame effects that make it look like his sword when he's using his techniques.
