Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi‘s mansion has officially been sold. But there are some things Erika isn’t so willing to let go of… like her diamond earrings.
Erika isn’t letting go of these without a fight. She’s just asked a judge for them to be returned to her!
Pasadena can officially say goodbye to Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi.
Their former mansion, which has been featured on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is officially off the market. The massive home sold for $7.5 million, according to Radar Online.
The new owners are named Jun Tao and Peng Tao. They had to testify that they have no affiliation with Tom, his law firm, or the bankruptcy trustee.
But Erika wasn’t so willing to let go of everything. She’s clinging on to her diamond earrings – and has even asked a judge for them to be returned to her.
According to Law and Crime, Erika has requested to not give up her diamond earrings as she sells numerous assets to pay her $500 million debt for Tom’s law firm.
Erika handed over the earrings back in July when a U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge ordered them to be sold. They’ve been stored in a bank safety deposit since then. Now, Erika wants them back.
In the appeal, Erika’s lawyer pushed that the trustee can’t claim the earrings because Tom gave them to Erika back in 2007, making a current claim “time-barred by every imaginable statute of limitations,” Law & Crime reports.
Fans had plenty of theories about Erika’s motivations for this appeal.
“I think she wants them to sell for herself. She knows her time on the show is limited once that bravo check stops she will need stuff like this to sell in the future,” one fan theorized on reddit.
“She basically has and is trying her hardest to hold onto the last of it. Once she’s not getting the bravo paycheck she has nothing. She’d have to marry/ get in a relationship with a very wealthy person who doesn’t care about what people think/her evilness or she’s done done. Maybe Rinna will let her live in her garage with all those dresses,” another penned. Ouch!
“Why doesn’t she bid on them get them legally the the money can go the victims. That would show integrity,” one fan suggested.
