How Pasquale Bruni's Eugenia Bruni is leading the family's jewellery brand forward while considering women's empowerment-Daily front row

Pasquale Bruni's name is famous for its precious and luxurious jewelry, but for creative director Eugenia Bruni, the focus is always on the natural light of the women who wear these designs. At the age of 20, her father is known for creating a pioneering brand in Valenza, Italy. Her mission is to make women feel empowered and special when they proudly wear their favorite items. This is how she did it!

Tell us the background story of the brand! We are a 50-year-old family-owned Italian company founded by my father Pasquale, a pioneer in the jewelry industry. He founded this brand from scratch with the goal of creating a new type of dream jewelry. Our studio is and has always been in Valenza, the city of gold.

What have you learned from the family business? I learned the attention to detail and the courage needed to develop the brand. And how to make jewelry in a meaningful new way. My brother Daniele and I started working in the factory when they were very young. When I was a kid, I fell in love with it-the handmade process, technical aspects, experimentation. Until 2001, the brand has been under Pasquale's guidance. He helped teach me, but taught me how important it is to see all aspects and have my own complete vision.

How is your current participation? We are still a family business, so Daniele is in charge of the US market. What I am trying to do is to create a jewelry brand full of passion and experience. I want to create jewelry that empowers women. I am in the factory every day. Probably because I grew up, this is my favorite place. The studio makes me very happy. I feel that through my jewelry, I can leave something for all women. Now, my focus is to challenge my design. I think we now need more than ever-to create beauty for women.

How do you do it? I study the anatomy of jewelry just as I study the anatomy of the body and nature. Nature is what reconnects women with themselves. This is why it is important to spend a lot of time in the studio. I am obsessed with shape, light and making jewelry feel intimate. I hope women feel empowered by wearing these jewelry, but even if we have power, we will not forget our feminine part. I want a woman to bloom every day and reconnect all aspects of her while feeling unique.

How does it feel to see people wearing Pasquale Bruni? I feel very emotional! Each! For me, the important thing is that when I see someone wearing this design, I see her behavior, attitude and self-confidence. Our jewelry method is to let people love themselves and others through this light. When a client approached me and talked to me, it was wonderful to hear that they felt special when wearing a piece of clothing.

What do you think the brand is famous for? Our logo is unique pavé. It is modern and full of emotion. People also know us because you can wear items from the Aleluiá, AMA, and Goddess Garden collections as necklaces or bracelets; they [represent] many aspects of a woman, and she can wear them in a variety of different ways.

Do you have any favorite clothes to wear all the time? I always wear rose quartz. It is the stone of love, and love is the main reason for existence in this world! The Goddess Garden series is all about leaves. When I put on these items, I feel the power and energy of a tree, and I feel the light.

What are you doing now? The moon is a big influence, and the ocean. They are two important elements that connect female emotion and femininity. I am doing new research, so you will see it next year. This will be mysterious, there are many artisan works in the collection, I am very excited!

What is your favorite during the holidays? Christmas is a festival of high spiritual energy. I feel that at Christmas, we connect with each other through the light in our hearts, which is an inspiring moment for me. In Italy, we spent a day with our family and reunited. There are also many animals-usually there are more animals than people! I also always do yoga retreats because reconnection is important. I spend a few days meditating and doing yoga so that I can have beautiful new energy for the coming year.

What is your biggest dream for the brand? I am a person who lives in the present; I try to dedicate everything I have to the present. If you go all out, things will turn into gold. For me, it's about spreading this love and emotion, connecting with each other and gratitude. I hope we continue to do this and continue to do it in an ethical way.
