Jennifer Lawrence's latest red carpet look gives an innovative spin on a jeweled gown.

The actress attended the premiere of her forthcoming film Causeway at BFI London Film Festival yesterday, where she was the epitome of elegance in a pearl-adorned gown and cape from Del Core's spring summer 2023 collection.

For the event, the star layered the mesh midi-length dress over a sleeveless black column, paired with the matching sheer cape covered in white pearl embroidery. She finished the look with a pair of black Gianvito Rossi Portofino Sandals and large pearl earrings, while wearing her hair loosely curled in an updo. Her makeup included silver eyeshadow and a blotted pink lip.

Last month, the Oscar winner attended the Toronto International Film Festival premiere for her film, where she made her first red-carpet appearance since welcoming her son. She wore a strapless black gown from Dior Haute Couture's fall 2022 collection, which featured a ruffled neckline, corset-like lacing, and a matching black high-cut bodysuit worn underneath.

She accessorized the look with black strappy sandals, as well as a diamond-and-emerald ring and matching earrings by Kwiat Diamonds.

Lawrence also participated in a public talk as part of the London festival's "Screen Talk" series, during which she opened up about her experience working on the hit Hunger Games film series. Per Variety, the star said that she sensed a loss of control in the wake of the success of the first installment.

"I think I lost a sense of control," she told the outlet. "Between The Hunger Games coming out and winning the Oscar [for 2012’s Silver Lining Playbook], I became such a commodity that I felt like every decision was a big, big group decision. When I reflect now, I can’t think of those following years, [because there was] just a loss of control."

She added that she feels she has regained her identity, following the acting break she took between her 2019 film X-Men: Dark Phoenix and Netflix's Don't Look Up.

"It feels personal for me the first time in a long time," she said.
