Lucchese boots, anti-collision jewelry: holiday car loot you don’t know you need

Of course, you can buy some new tool for your favorite wrench for holiday use. Or maybe you can subscribe to GloveBox for your teenagers under the tree, hoping they will accept the prompts and light up their dirty cars. Drive has a complete list of items that you can obtain for the novice off-road vehicle in your family, so please check it too.

For those who want to wear their enthusiast badge in the form of clothing and jewelry, here are some ideas, including a set of high-end truck-matching boots and jewelry made from discarded metal plates from a luxury auto body shop. If you decide that you want these instead of giving them to others, please don't make judgments.

Let me talk about boots first, because this is something I have never seen before: Ram Trucks collaborated with Lucchese to create five styles of Ram brand boots based on the design of the 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition. The Lucchese brand is known for high-quality (usually high-priced) boots in Texas and beyond. Lucchese is headquartered in El Paso and was founded in San Antonio more than a century ago by Italian immigrants.

These are not preemptive strikers; the cheapest lineup is $695. The most important is a pair of men's boots worth US$2,500, partly made of crocodile leather. (Am I the only one who thinks someone has to fight a crocodile before turning it into a shoe?) Each boot is marked "Ram" or "Longhorn", so there is no doubt which truck you represent.

For sports cars, Crash Jewelry uses discarded hoods, doors, or quarter panels from luxury car body shops to create a glittering effect. I bought two bracelets from the company last year—both Ferrari bracelets—and I often wear them. Some of the choices in Crash shop include cufflinks, earrings, bracelets and necklaces made by Rolls-Royce, Maserati, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Aston Martin, etc. The new BMW M Livery cuff may be the next one on my list.

Any of them is more popular than Mopar's deliberately ugly holiday sweater. Of course, unless that's your business.
